I'm Exactly Where I'm Meant to Be. - A Meditation

I shared this quote in class a couple of weeks ago - it's a mantra I've used many times in my life, never more so than since we moved to Bristol.

While I knew that moving would be a big change I hadn't anticipated the level of challenge that would accompany it. I think I slept-walked through the goodbyes; conscious but unconscious of what it really meant to say farewell to my friends, my students, my safe spaces.

Arriving here I've had to overcome the discomfort of newness, the separation of familiarity and difficult social & spatial anxieties; sometimes too fearful to even leave the house.

There have been a few saving graces; my family, my therapist, my coach & my practise. They have kept me present, grounded, conscious, open, accepting and appreciative of my process; however messy it is sometimes. Part of that process is positive self talk (think inner cheerleader vibes), consistent practise, nature and mantras.

And so we welcome "I'm exactly where I'm meant to be"

So why is this mantra so powerful?

- It helps me land in the now with acceptance and appreciation.

- It teaches me to value what is happening right now, even if it's difficult.

- It empowers me to meet discomfort as a vital step on my journey.

- It reminds me of everything I've overcome to arrive in this moment.

I've found this mantra so powerful that I would love to share it with you, and have recorded a meditation with it that I'm linking below.

If you use this meditation, and if you feel comfortable to share, please let me know how you find it.
